What is ipf ?Minimize





 
ipf is short for Initiative für Praxisforschung which means initiative for practice-based research.
 
ipf is a Swiss-based international organisation with offices in Solothurn (Switzerland), Heidelberg (Germany), Plymouth / London (UK) and Pristina (Kosova).
 
As the name suggests, the central activity of ipf is practitioner research or action research (see Research). ipf applies action research methods to all its projects, in that it plans, acts and reflects on its activities in a systematic and evidence-based way aimed at improving performance and quality.
 
Learning is the core activity that ipf works with, whether in education, business or personal development. ipf works in both the private and public sectors, as well as charitable foundations, NGOs, government departments, universities, schools and social institutions.
 
At its best, ipf is dynamic, creative and inspirational. ipf is a learning organisation which works hard to learn from each situation. At ipf we are always interested in the good ideas and good practice of those we work with. This attitude is fundamental to how ipf works and explains why ipf can work with so many diverse partners in a constructive way.
 
ipf has gathered a talented group of individuals into the ipf-team who in their own individual ways are likewise committed to this philosophy of innovation, research and quality.
